The story
From Botad to the dayro stage
Udaybhai Dhadhal grew up in Botad district, in the Kathiyawad heartland of Gujarat, and sings the music he calls his roots: Charni Sahitya, bhakti geet for Mahadev, Meldi Maa and Momai Maa, and the lagna geet that fill wedding season. He writes as well as sings, releases much of his work on his own channel, and spends his nights on the dayro stage.
